good news...bad news

Ben was looking for his Leapster this morning. I told him that I thought Reed left it in Pa's car. He said to me, "The bad news is that it is in Pa's car, the good news is that it is morning time and we have phones."

selfish woman

We got home from the pool today and I was running around trying to get everyone's shoes and swimming suits off, get Reed down for a nap, check messages, etc. Basically just being a mom. Through all of this Ben keeps asking me to get him some paper. Finally I said to him, "You need to get your own paper, can't you see I'm running around like a banshee?!" He just looked at me and said, "no, you are running around like a selfish woman." I'm just hoping that he doesn't really know the definition of selfish.

a spoonful of sugar

Benton and Reed have both been sick and Ben HATES taking his medicine. Last night I was trying to get him to take his medicine and it becomes this huge, long ordeal. You know I'm not used to medicine!"

listen to mommy

Today Benton randomly says to Ted; "You should always listen to Mommy, because if you do things will always get much better". Although, it could be that he said this because about two minutes earlier I told him we could make chocolate chip cookies. Still...

much better

Yesterday we explained General Conference to Benton and Reed and then gave them a coloring packet and sat down to watch. A couple minutes into it Ben was coloring away when he turned to us and said, "this is much more better than church." He actually sat through 50 minutes of the first session before he even got bored. I know a lot of people that feel the same way as he does!

"skanks"

When Reed says "thanks" it comes out sounding like "skanks". It is pretty funny and it makes people that don't know him give us funny looks.
